William I. Garrett, 83, died May 4.
A native of Tennessee, he was a resident of the area for over 61 years. He was an auto salesman in the Akron area for many years. He was a member of the Kenmore Church of Christ.
He is survived by wife, Dorothy; sons, William and Robert of Akron, Donald of Leesburg, Fla.; daughters, Mrs. John (Norma) McCoy and Elizabeth Stolnicki of Akron; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Ada Brown of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pegrim of Barberton; brother-in-law, Carl Weaver of Akron.
Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Schlup Funeral Chapel, Kenmore Blvd. at 8th St., where services will be 1 p.m., Monday with Rev. Ira Brandon officiating. Burial Greenlawn Memorial Park.
