Hadassah Hoff Agboton, age 32, died surrounded by loved ones at the Wake Med Health & Hospital, Raleigh, NC on December 31, 2023. After struggling with stage four lung cancer, she passed gently into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Hadassah is the adopted daughter of Kimberly and Michael Larson. A resident of North Carolina, Hadassah was born in Liberia, Africa June 16, 1991 to Cecelia and Thomas Gbellay Hoff.
She attended high school at Louisville High School where she graduated in 2011. During her life on earth, she focused her time on her family. Her love for her family was very apparent. She was in the process of attending beauty school in order to complete her passion and dream of starting her own business. Hadassah had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She was a fighter and support of everyone, especially those less fortunate. She spoke up for those who didn't have a voice and physically attended to the needs of many strangers, who she'd quickly take under her wings. Hadassah was the number one fan for her kids, siblings and friends. Her selfless acts of kindness and big heart made her approachable, even by strangers. No one that met Hadassah forgot her infectious personality and bright smile. Hadassah was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of those around her. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
In 2019, she married her longtime boyfriend, Jacques Agboton. She will be lovingly remembered and admired by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
A service to celebrate Hadassah's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597.
A viewing will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A light reception will be held at the family's home after the burial.
Hadassah is survived by her husband Jaques and her five children, Stancey, Kébir, Destiny, Novia, and Devine.
