Born January 3, 1935, in Troutville, she was the daughter of the late John and Vada (Kuntz) London.
JoAnn graduated from Sykesville High School. In her working years, she was a salesperson for World Book Encyclopedia. JoAnn was a member of Women's Aglow, Gideons International, and Smithtown Community Church. She enjoyed traveling, making hard tack candy, playing piano, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family and friends.
JoAnn is survived by two daughters, Cheri (Bradley) Clinton, DuBois, and Connie (Eugene) Pendolino, DuBois; three step-children, Lee Koppenhaver, Ohio, Claire Matthews, PA, and Amy Koppenhaver, TX; four grandchildren, Nick Forsyth, Gabrielle Blakeslee, Alyssa Pendolino, and Alex Pendolino; seven step-grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her husbands, John Pifer, Chester Koppenhaver, and William Lucas, her brother, Wilmer London, and three sisters, Dorothy Sowes, Betty Bailey, and Kay Bailey.
Friends and family will be received Friday, January 5, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Brad Clinton CLP officiating. Interment will be in Sykesville Memorial Park.
