Rodney "Rod" Mark Carr, 69, died Saturday December 23, 2023, in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born July 10, 1954, to Willard Henry and Lilla Marie Carr (Morlan) in
Liberal.

Rodney graduated from Liberal High School in 1972. He attended Seward County
Community College. As a young boy he was actively involved in Boy Scouts, Troop
180. Rodney developed the love of swimming, becoming an avid swimmer. He
enjoyed camping with his family and exploring the outdoors, which he continued
to enjoy into adulthood.

Rodney spent his adult years working as an oil field sales representative in Kansas,
Colorado, and various other states. He had many hobbies, including camping,
photography, Jeep trails, and playing cards over the holidays with his family.

Survivors include brothers Dennis (Tammy) Carr, Liberal, and Scott (Laurie) Carr,
Liberal; sister Charlette (Jeff) Evans, Davenport, Iowa; and several nieces and
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Trent, and beloved
pets: Snow, Storm and Bear.

The family would like to thank the Wheatridge Park Care Center staff who
provided a loving atmosphere for Rodney the past eight years.
