Services will be conducted tomorrow for R. Graham HALEY, a Peninsula entrepreneur who died of natural causes at his Palo Alto home on February 23 at the age of 90.
A 54-year resident of Palo Alto, Mr HALEY was president of his own company, Pacific Builders, a residential real estate development firm in Palo Alto.
Born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Mr HALEY graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, and Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Washington DC.
Before World War II, he served in his home state as a US marshal and was later elected a state senator. During the war, he served as a lieutenant commander in the US Navy. He settled in Palo Alto after the war.
He went to work for American President Lines in San Francisco, retiring as a vice president of APL in 1960 to form his own development company in Palo Alto.
Mr HALEY is survived by his wife, Margurite (BRIC) HALEY of Palo Alto; his five children, eight grandchildren.
Services conducted at St Anne's Chapel, 525 Melville Avenue at Tasso Street in Palo Alto.
