Preceded in death by her daughter, Kellye Holt Whitmore, parents, Fred Cooper, and Helen Adele Stinson.
Survived by her loving husband, Steve Schafer, children, Shannon Schafer, Stephanie Blair, and Steven Schafer, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, brother, Darryl (Holly) Cooper, nephews, Nick (Jamie) and Chris (Julie), nieces, Lauren (Kyle) and Kala (Tim).
She had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly her doggies, Suzie, Hank, Whiskey and Bruno who brought her unconditional love and companionship. Horseback riding was another activity that brought Cathye immense happiness. There was a spark of joy in her eyes every time she sat atop a horse, feeling the rhythm of each stride beneath her. The connection she had with these magnificent creatures was truly magical.
Cathye's true passion shone brightest during the holiday season. Christmas held a special place in her heart as she delighted in turning her home into a festive wonderland.
