Ambrose M. Dudley, Sr., 67, president of the Frankfort Board of Realtors, died Saturday in a Lexington hospital where he was taken after he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Friday.

He was reared in Burnside and was a longtime real estate and insurance man. He was prominent in civic affairs and was an active member of the United Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Dudley formerly lived in Somerset.

Survivors include his wife, the former Lucretia Buckner, of Frankfort; a son, Ambrose M. Dudley, Jr., news editor of the Associated Press bureau at Hartford, Connecticut; two sisters, Mrs. LuLu Nunn and Mrs. Marguerite Sloan, both of Burnside; and two brothers, Russell Dudley of London and Steele Dudley, Jr. of Frankfort; and two grandsons.

Services were conducted Monday in Rogers Chapel at 2 p.m. by Dr. J.T. Harmon and Dr. James Shepherd. Burial was in the family lot in the Frankfort Cemetery.

Dudley, prominent in civic affairs, was a longtime real estate and insurance man. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucretia Buckner Dudley; and a son, Ambrose M. Dudley, Jr., news editor of The Associated Press bureau at Hartford, Connecticut.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Rogers Funeral Home here.
