Tammy See, 66 of Rochester was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 6:04 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her home.
On July 16, 1957, Tammy Lynne Shelburne was born in Noblesville to Howard Dale & Rebecca Jacqueline 'Jackie" Wire Shelburne. She was the oldest daughter and the fourth of eleven children. The Shelburne family moved to Rochester in 1970 from Carmel. Proudly, Tammy graduated with the Class of 1975 from Rochester High School. She married in August of 1975, but divorced in 2003.
As a young lady, while in high school, Tammy started working at Howdy's Dairy Bar. Later she became a stay-at-home mom. Her strong work ethic continued as she worked 25 years for Kauffman Engineering, formerly T.M. Morris. In 2022 she retired from Gulf Stream in Nappanee.
Tammy's memberships include, Rochester American Legion Auxiliary # 0036, Rochester Eagles Auxiliary #852, Rochester Moose Lodge #1107, Chapters 1684/3000 and a lifetime member of Rochester Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #1343.
Left to cherish Tammy's memory are two daughters: Joni Rebecca Monroe of Daytona Beach, FL, Jessica Lynne France and husband Dustin of Fulton; four grandchildren: Paetyn Juanita Monroe and Alexander Gregory Orrender both of Daytona Beach FL, Keagan Alan France and Jackson Blake France both of Fulton; three sisters: Betsy Rebecca Shelburne of State College, PA, Misty Suzanne DePoy and husband Tim of Warsaw, Mindy Suzette Navarro and husband Hector of Rochester; four brothers: Jeffery Joe Shelburne of Rochester, Rodney Howard Shelburne and wife Darla of Warsaw, Randy Lee Shelburne and wife Carol of Rochester, Barney Brent Shelburne and wife Lorraine of Stillman Valley, IL; two sisters-in-law: Pam Sears Shelburne, Laurie Drenth Shelburne; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews spread all across the country from Arizona to the east coast and as far south as Florida and as north as northern Illinois.
Preceding Tammy in death are her parents; twin sons: Jeremy Adam and Jamey Bartholomew See in 1977; grandchild, Caylin Presley Monroe in 2023; three brothers: Gary Dale Shelburne on June 25, 2014, Scotty Boyd Shelburne on January 23, 2016, Rusty Wire Shelburne on June 11, 2021; the father of her children, Kenneth Ray Allen See in 2015: Sister-in-law Jeanie Shelburne 2021; and her beloved six-year feline companion, Snake'r Sam.
