Jim was a lifetime Hobart resident and retired as a lineman from Nipsco after 33 years of service. Jim loved golfing in the Thursday night golf league at Duck Creek and Cressmoor golf courses.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 22 years Laura Collins of Hobart, IN; four siblings: Joan (Mike) Gregor of Hobart, IN, Jane (Don) Hoefflicker of Hobart, IN, Linda (Larry) Binkley of Hobart, IN, Dick Collins of Indianapolis, IN; brother-in-law Greg Dineff of Lorain, OH; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marion E. and Virginia E. Collins, and one brother Michael "Mike" Collins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a tree be planted in Jim's memory. Cremation will take place at Calvary Crematory, Portage, IN.
