William E. Brown, 80, of Parkersburg, died March 25, 2001, at his residence.

He was born in Wood County, a son of the late William Fred and Cora Elsie Jacobs Brown. He owned Brownie Tire Service in Parkersburg, WV for 50 years, and was a member of the Limestone Methodist Church. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Mae McCuskey of Vincennes, Ind.; one grandson, David McCuskey of Portland, Ore.; one granddaughter, Michelle Lamb of Greenwood, Ind.; one stepson, Paul Ludwig of Roswell, N.M.; one sister, Bessie Stephens of Dunbar; two great grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Grace Mason Brown; two brothers; and one step-granddaughter.

There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Parkersburg is in charge of arrangements.
