On July 2, 1945, he married Laura Edith Gillis, in Perth Amboy, NJ.
In 1963, the family moved to Albuquerque, NM, where Richard and Laura enjoyed bowling and meeting with friends.
Richard spent many years driving a city bus for ABQ Ride (Formally SunTran) and retired as a City Bus Supervisor.
Richard and Laura moved to Estancia, NM, to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Edith (Gillis), and his sons, Richard Edward Zupko, Jr, in 2014, and infant newborn son, Lester Zupko in 1962.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Diana Lee Murry; and two sons, Robert William Zupko and Leonard Joseph Zupko.
