Monte Gene Wilcox, 65, born in Tucson, AZ, passed away unexpectedly July 1st, 2022. Taken far too soon, he is survived by his son Julian Jose Wilcox (Courtney); father Walter Gene Wilcox (Geneva); sisters Wendy Wilcox and Leah (Fritz) Ficke; stepbrother Bryan (Katie) Coombes and Loren (Michele Ward) Coombes.
Monte graduated from Sahuaro High in 1974 and had also taken classes at Pima Community College. Monte worked at ADOT for 23 years where he was a precise mechanic. He was loved by many for his outpouring generosity and his quirky sense of humor. Monte loved the desert and being outdoors, preferably on a mountain top.
