T. I. HEAD RITES CONDUCTED TODAY
Funeral services for Thomas Irvin Head, 67, prominent resident of Oak Grove, were held this afternoon in the Oak Grove Methodist Church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. I. L. Yeager, pastor of the Monroe Stone Avenue Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery. Graveside services were in charge of the Pioneer Lodge No. 340, F. and A. M., of which Mr. Head was a member for many years. The well known West Carroll farmer died at the Everett-Biggs Clinic here at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning following a lingering illness.

Mr. Head served the West Carroll Parish Police Jury as a member from Ward 2 for 13 years and 7 years on the Ouachita Parish School Board. He spent most of his 33 years as a West Carroll Parish resident near Pioneer, moving to Oak Grove several years ago. He was a Charter Member of the Campbell Community Methodist Church, serving as a community organizer there.

Mr. Head is preceded in death by his son:
Ensign Hollace Bain Head in 1943
