Karen, 70, of Knoxville Tennessee passed away at her home on November 20, 2023. Her childhood was spent in Bulls Gap, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Joseph and Blanche Arnott Price, her brother's Jimmy Price, and Gary Price

Karen is survived by her loving twin nieces, Heather Price Haynes, Holly Price Ellis, and husband Andrew Ellis. She adored her grand nieces and nephews, Abigail Kate Haynes, Jacob, Anna Claire, Emma Caroline, and Jackson Ellis. She also survived by stepchildren April DePaola, and Austin Leclerc and their children. She is survived by cousins and many friends all over the world.

Karen graduated from Bulls Gap High School with many honors. She graduated from University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She had an illustrious career as an educator teaching a total of 47 years including teaching in Knoxville and 35 years at the Department of Defense in Germany.

Karen was an avid traveler with a vivid sense of adventure visiting countries all over the world. Her hobbies included skiing, cooking, entertaining and collecting German antiques. Karen cultivated lasting friendships wherever she lived. She truly loved people and never said a harsh word towards anyone. Her everlasting love for children has impacted many lives of those she taught. God gave her a special talent and passion for education young children. She was greatly loved by her students, their parents, and fellow colleagues. She also was a philanthropist at heart giving to many organizations throughout her life.

She would return each summer from Germany to her lake house in Alabama inviting friends and family to share what she called "Her Little Piece of Heaven".

There will be a celebration of her life at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 2 pm – 3 pm, with a service following at 3 pm on December 16, 2023, at the funeral home.
