Gary is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Nancy Price. He is also survived by his "furry people" Shelby and Shadow. Survived also by his sister, Karen LeClerc of Burgbernheim, Germany. Gary also leaves behind nieces Holly P. Ellis (Andy), Heather P. Haynes, and Barbra M. Chambers; nephew Michael W. Chambers (Stephanie). Other survivors include cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family members too numerous to mention.
Gary was born in Greeneville, TN on November 25, 1944. His childhood was spent in Bulls Gap, TN where he grew up attending the Baptist Church. He graduated from Bulls Gap High School with many honors, then from Memphis State University with a Bachelors' degree in Business. He was an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, serving in many leadership roles.
Gary was last employed as a regional sales manager for Reynolds Fasteners until his retirement in 1999. He was an avid reader, who had a lifelong love of learning. He was a devoted fan of the UT Volunteers. Gary loved working in his yard, exercising at the local Y, and taking care of his immediate family.
