Mrs. Collins was born on August 6, 1954 in Camilla, Georgia to the late Walter Donald and Sue Mathews Hays. She had lived in Mitchell County most of her life and was formerly employed with the Mitchell County Board of Education. Mrs. Collins enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Fletcher (Brant) of Ocala, Florida, Becca Burnett (Bryan) of Leesburg, and Aaron Collins (Deborah) of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Bryce Burnett, Blake Burnett, Ella Kate Collins, Miranda Fletcher, McKenna Fletcher, Aason Collins and Caylea Grace Collins; siblings, Don Hays Jr., "Knotty" (Rebecca), Terri Oliver (Jimmy), Becky George (Bill), Marsha Youngblood (Hank), and Greg Hays (Robbin Folsom); sister-in-law, Anne Hays and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Aaron Collins and a brother, Bright Hays.
