Vinnie and Offie Britton had eight children. All are now deceased and have been linked to this memorial. One of their children, Offie Leonard Britton, was born June 1, 1918 in Ragley, Panola County, Texas and died when he was about 2-1/2 years old on December 17, 1920 when they were living near Vinnie's parents, Leander Franklin and Donnie Ella (Bailey) Fallwell, for a short period of time in Meeker, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. He is the baby boy that Vinnie is holding in the family photo shown on this memorial page. This makes me believe that this photo was taken in Oklahoma shortly before his death. Baby, Leonard, is buried at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma, where Vinnie's parents were also buried in 1939.

My Aunt Vinnie was an awesome woman. I love her so very much and she will forever be in my heart. I had the pleasure of visiting her and staying for a week at her home back in August of 1963. She gave me a lot of information on the Fallwell and Bailey Families and I am so blessed to have spent this time with her and Uncle Office and my dear cousin, Zeravell. Aunt Vinnie was my Dad's older sister. As a matter of fact, she was about 16 years older than him. My Dad, Cecil E.C. Fallwell, was her youngest brother.
