Peru, IL - Amy Moreno Drummond, 36, of Peru, Ill., passed away after an extended illness at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill.
Amy was born Sept. 4, 1971, in Spring Valley, Ill., to Guadalupe and Linda (Sleaford) Moreno. She married Rick Drummond on July 6, 2007.
She graduated St. Bede High School and attended two years of college.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Spring Valley and rescued many animals through the years.
She was a self-employed nurse and a clerk at Bergner's.
She is survived by her mother, Linda, and father, Petey Moreno of Spring Valley; her husband, Rick of Peru; two daughters; Kasidy and Kendall Moreno, both at home; four brothers, Marty (Judy) Moreno of Granville, Monte (Mardy Jo) Moreno of Spring Valley, Chris Moreno of Lakewood, Calif., and Andy (Janel) Moreno of Spring Valley; one sister, Mia Moreno of Indianapolis, Ind.; and her dogs, Rocky, Jazmin and Chico.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one nephew.
Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley.
