Elizabeth Lou McCrory, 80, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Tabitha's Journey House in Lincoln, NE. She was born May 3, 1943, to Edward and Aileen (Woolman) McCrory in Marysville, Kansas. After Edward's discharge from the Army, the family moved to Murdock, NE, where Libby attended school and graduated from Murdock High School with the class of 1960. She graduated from UNL in 1963 with a B.A. in Education. Teaching jobs included Fremont, Sutton, and Tecumseh, NE, earning an M.A. in 1967. She joined the US Army in 1972 attending German language training, becoming an Electronic Warfare/Signal Intelligence Voice Interceptor and spent most of that time in Germany until discharge in 1989. Libby was then hired by the US Dept. of the Interior in Colorado where she remained until retirement. In July of 2022 she moved to Lincoln, NE.

Libby was an avid reader and loved watching movies of all kinds. She had a love of history and spent a great deal of time researching and recording her family's ancestry. She traveled extensively while in Europe and many places in the US.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Aileen McCrory, and her brother Harold McCrory.
