She is predeceased by her husband, Billy Brown, Brother, Wayne Skipper, Daughter, Vanessa Galloway and loving Aunt, Shelby Dean Blanton Strickland.
Mrs. Linda Brown was an avid lover of cats, QVC, The Temptations, cake, and shagging. She especially loved watching NCIS and making midnight fried egg sandwiches with her granddaughters, that she loved "all to pieces." One of her favorite movies was Roadhouse where she would always say "Ooh that Patrick Swayze."
Survivors include her son, William (June) Brown; sister, Vivian Skipper (Dave) Orrell; son in law, Clint Galloway; granddaughters, Carrie, Sydney, and Casey Brown; nieces and nephews; Samantha (Keith) Alsup, Cameron (Sharon) Edwards, Clyde, Tony and Sean Skipper, and her many cousins whom she all loved dearly.
Mrs. Brown was born in Loris SC, the daughter of late Clyde and Genevieve Blanton Skipper. She was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully until her later days. Mrs. Linda later moved to Florence SC where she worked at AT&T for many years until retiring and coming back home to Loris SC.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 17, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin City Memorial Gardens.
