LORIS..Charles Wayne Skipper, age 75, of the Goretown Community, passed away Saturday morning, May 25, 2013.
Mr. Skipper was born March 24, 1938 in Mullins, SC, a son of the late Clyde Waldo Skipper and the late Genevieve Blanton Skipper. He retired from the United States Air Force after 27 years of service.
Mr. Skipper is survived by his wife: Joyce G. Skipper of Goretown, three sons: Clyde W. of Goretown, Tony D. and his wife Samantha of St. Augustine, Fl. and Sean K. of Jacksonville Beach, Fl., two grandchildren: Ashley Lynn and Victoria Skipper, both of St. Augustine, Fl., one great grandson: Brody Lynn, two sisters: Linda Brown of Loris and Vivian Orrell and her husband David of Winston Salem, NC and three aunts: Ethel Hardee and Allene Floyd of Loris and Shelby Dean Strickland of Leland, NC.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son: Charles Rodney Skipper.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Carter Cemetery. Rev. Mack Hutson will officiate.
