Mary (Wing) Bailey Jackman
January 20, 1949 — November 12, 2023
On a beautiful Sunday morning, our sweet mother left this world to reunite with her late husband Mark, her son Jared, and her half sister Vernene, after fighting bravely and enduring nearly six weeks of debilitating illness.

Mary Bailey Jackman was born in Idaho Falls to Opal Lundberg and Vernon Wing. Mary's mother died soon after giving birth, and Mary was raised by her stepmother Mildred Peterson. As a young child, Mary spent countless hours with her father outdoors, sleeping on pine bows and learning to fish. She developed a deep love of nature and preferred to be outside whenever she could. Some of her fondest childhood memories were of riding horses with her "brothers'' Rick and Ron at the Peterson ranch in Lima.

Mary attended high school in Idaho Falls, and then pursued fashion design in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, she met her sweetheart Mark Bailey and they were married on February 26, 1972 and were blessed with four children Ryan, Jared, Sharlene, and Blake. Mary and Mark enjoyed many outdoor adventures with their family like camping, riding motorcycles, four wheeling, and boating. They loved spending time with their family and took great pleasure in becoming grandparents. Mark passed away on May 10, 2003. In 2011, Mary was reunited with an old friend from Rose Park who was a widower. Randy Jackman swept her off her feet and they were married on July 15, 2011. Randy cared for her until her final days.

Mary was a talented writer and artist. She was incredibly creative, and she worked in many mediums. She enjoyed writing, sketching, painting, sewing, cross-stitch, and gardening. Close friends and family often received heirloom quality crafted gifts.

Mary was an avid dog-lover, and wanted to pet every single dog she saw. She was quick witted, fun-loving, spunky, and prone to shenanigans just like her half-sister Vernene, who passed away only five days prior to Mary. She loved to laugh and have fun, and would brighten your day by making a silly face or using one of her funny phrases.

She overcame tremendous obstacles in her life and was an example of strength to those around her. She worked hard and was not above learning skills such as driving a stick shift and pulling a trailer. Mary was a woman of great faith and she was a devout convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in numerous callings throughout her life and working as a temple ordinance worker. She never wavered in her beliefs and her strength lit the way for others.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington 19th Ward, 825 South, 50 East, Farmington, Utah. A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday evening November 17, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah, and at the Church on Saturday morning from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow the services at the Farmington City Cemetery.
