Danny Boone Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center – Decatur Township on Nov. 14, 2023.
Danny J. Boone, 60 of Carmel, passed away Thursday, November 9 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born April 3, 1963 in Martinsville, IN to the late Welby and Bernice Boone.
Danny was most recently employed as a mechanic for Don Hinds Ford for many years as well as Tom Wood Ford, Andy Mohr Ford, Collins Lincoln Mercury and Alderman Ford. Danny was well known as an expert in his field and as mentor to many. He loved to teach and develop "the youngsters".
He had a tremendous love of nature and his passions included camping, fishing, and boating with his wife and kids. He loved to travel and go on adventures in his free time.
Danny had an amazing soul and loved all things historical and traditional. He lived a life that embodied his conservative values around family and faith. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he lived life to the fullest. He was a loyal friend to everyone he met and his commonsense approach to all problems was the calm in every storm. Danny was a gentleman to his core and a helper to anyone in need.
Danny was a man of many interests including gardening, coin collecting, metal detecting, vintage slot car enthusiast and an avid antique gun collector. He enjoyed his time fine tuning old rifles and was a member of the ERPC and the NRA.
His biggest love was for his family. He adored his children and parents, his aunts and uncles, his cousins, and his huge extended and blended family. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Jennifer.
Danny fought his battle with MS like a warrior with dignity and grace, always optimistic and always worried about how his disease affected his loved ones. He was a champion.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 2:00 pm at Washington Park East Cemetery.
Danny is survived by his wife, Jennifer; children, Brian (wife, Desiree) Boone, Stacy (husband, Jacob) Westmoreland, Amelia Fletcher, Joseph Cravens and Audrey Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box #91891 Washington, D.C. 20090 -1891
