A devoted husband, father and grandfather, James Paul Jones passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He was 75. James was a 1951 graduate of Istrouma High School and was the team captain of the 1951 state championship football team. He attended college on a football scholarship and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from U.S. Steel Corp.
Preceded in death by his parents, Marganie and John Jones. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, sons, daughter, grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his brother and sister.
Arrangements entrusted to Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
