George Bucks who died last Friday night, was buried Sunday afternoon, Rev. Wolf conducting the service at home. George Bucks was born in Pennsylvania, July 21, 1838. He was married to Lucy Ann Sachs in 1859. Five children were born to them: George, living in Pennsylvania, William, Bridgman, Michigan, Mrs. Amanda Frazee, Kokomo, Polly, at home and Mrs. William Snyder, of Ross township. There are ten grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Mrs. Snyder and Miss Polly Bucks were the only children at the funeral. Mr. Bucks came here in 1878 and worked at the carpenters trade until incapacitated by old age. He was a life long member of the Reformed church and a veteran of the Civil war.
