IONA LADINE REEVES TURNER
July 31, 1932 - November 7, 2023

Iona L. Reeves Turner, 91, passed away November 7, 2023. She was born on July 31, 1932 to the late George and Beulah (Caldwell) Reeves on the family farm Northeast of Filley, Missouri in Cedar County. She was the fourth child in a family of eight brothers and sisters.

Iona married Marvin Turner on June 16, 1951. They established their home in Stockton and then later in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. She was an avid gardener, card player, and decorator. She excelled as a home chef and seamstress completing many sewing projects for family and friends. She used her creativity in the jewelry she designed and created. Through out her life, Iona loved to dance. She started at an early age attending neighborhood square dances and went dancing all over the area. She supported many activities and sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Iona served in the community as a Cub Scout leader, 4-H leader, polling place election judge, and a lifetime member of the VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Iona is survived by her daughter, Beverly Kropf (Marty) Sarcoxie, MO.; grandson Scott Turner (Lori) Bolivar, MO.; granddaughter Crystal Turner, Bolivar, MO.; daughter-in-law Georgianna Turner, Bolivar, MO.; three great-grandsons Anthony, Bryce, and Carsyn Turner; and one great-great-granddaughter Maddie. Other survivors include two sisters of El Dorado Springs, Mo, Doris Jasnocha and Carol Dodd; one brother Paul Reeves (Judy) Joplin, MO.; many nieces and nephews and treasured friends.

In addition to her parents, Iona was preceded in death by husband, Marvin; son Donald; and siblings Earl Reeves, Melba DeShazo, Mable Fowler; and Lee Reeves.

Iona touched the lives of many family and friends during her long life and will be fondly remembered.

Graveside committal of ashes will be private and placed next to her husband, Marvin, in the Stockton Cemetery.
