Miriam Day Heglar - Her maiden name was Gregory. Her parents were William H. Gregory and Lillian Day Lay who married on Jan 10,1901 in Madison County, Tennessee. They had 7 children. Miriam's siblings are William Homer,Clyde,Paul,Mamie Katherine Blurton,Annie Lyde Trimmer and Lucy Belle Burrow
Miriam married Henry Fenner Heglar on July 14, 1928 and they had 3 children. After Henry's death she married Wesley Harold Hudspeth on July 9,1966 in Gibson co,Tn. A few years later Miriam died in an auto accident in Gibson County, Tennessee.

Woman dies,5 others injured in area traffic mishaps.

A humboldt woman was fatally injured and a jackson man hospitalized when the woman slammed her car into the rear of a pickup truck friday on a gibson county road.
Killed was Mrs. Miriam Hudspeth,65,of 1327 n.18th street in humboldt,tn.Driver of the pickup Bernard H.Sikes,49, of jackson is listed in fair condition at st.marys hospital in humboldt.His pickup was reported to be overturned while the womans car ran off the highway into a cottonfield.
Funeral services for Mrs Hudspeth,widow of Wesley Hudspeth and former widow of Henry Fenner Heglar will be held at 2:30 pm today at Bethel Baptist Church.Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery with Hunt Funeral in charge.
Mrs Hudspeth was a production employee of Wayne Knitting Mills of humboldt.She was a lifelong resident of humboldt and daughter of the late William and Lillie Lay Gregory.She was a member of the bethel baptist church.
Surviving are two sons,Wayne Heglar of Germany and Charles Heglar of humboldt,a daughter Mrs Margaret Doyle of largo,Fl,three brothers Clyde,Paul and Homer Gregory all of humboldt and three sisters,Mrs Mamie Katherin Blurton,Mrs Lucy Belle Burrow and Mrs Ann Lyde Trimmer,eight grandchildren and a great grandson.
