Marguerite Pearl (Goodyear) Kephart, 93, passed away on October 29, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born February 3, 1930, in Gladstone, New Mexico, the daughter of Edna Marguerite (Muller) and Robert Earl Goodyear, Sr.

The second born of six children, she grew up farming and homesteading with her family during the great depression and the dust bowl.

In 1951 she married her childhood sweetheart, Carroll Dale "Keppy" Kephart. They had two children, Gerald and Gloria; and relocated to Albuquerque, NM, where they spent their lives.

She was a religious woman, and took great pride in her love for God. She was incredibly strong and resilient, immensely loving and always strode to be an incredible wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother.

They became involved with the archaeological society, and became involved in their community. She had many hobbies, and had many impressive skills. She was very talented in sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, cooking, canning, baking and many other things. Throughout her life she was always able to give great comfort to those she loved, and never failed to put a smile on your face with a witty and sometimes unexpected funny comment. She will be greatly missed, always loved and always remembered.

Margarite was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Dale "Keppy" Kephart in 1997; and her son, Gerald Dee Kephart, in 1991; and all five of her siblings, three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Vigil (husband Doug); and her granddaughter, Aislinn; and many nieces and nephews.
