Elizabeth Anderson-Wills, 96 of Springfield, formerly of Girard passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born August 8, 1927 in Waverly, the daughter of Peter M. and Bessie Elizabeth (Crouse) Large. She married James Leo Anderson in December of 1947 and he preceded her in death in January of 1970. She then married Roy R. Wills in September of 1975 and he preceded her in death in March of 2009.
Elizabeth had worked for Horace-Mann Insurance Company in Springfield for over 22 years until her retirement. She was a member of Kumler United Methodist Church in Springfield. She was known as "Grandma" to everyone at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
Surviving her passing are her sons Dwayne Wills of Seattle, WA and John (Crystal) Wills of Deland, FL; numerous grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wills and sisters Eugenia Lowder, Lucille Steele and Barbara Morris.
Funeral services for Elizabeth will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Kumler United Methodist Church in Springfield with Pastor Donald Goodenow officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, also in Springfield. Visitation will be from 11:00 until the time of services on Thursday at the church.
