Wallace "Boots" Alfred Ott, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at his Halltown home.

Born July 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Bernard and Cora Ott.

He was a member of the Halltown Presbyterian Church.

Boots was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the Infantry in Japan and Germany. He was a machine gunner in the Berlin Airlift. Boots retired from the Halltown Paperboard Co. He was a member of Charles Town VFW 3522 and American Legion Post 71 and Harpers Ferry/Bolivar Lions Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Esswein and husband Lonnie of Martinsburg, WV; three sons Michael Ott and wife Vicki of Charles Town, WV, Larry Ott and wife Tonya of Halltown, WV, Stephen Ott and wife Cheryl, of Winchester, VA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty- nine and a half years, Ann Ott in 2021; one grandson, D.J. Haines; three sisters, Wilhemina Mennor, Evelyn Rountree, Mary Louise Anders; and one brother, John "Jack" Ott.
