Lisa graduated from nursing school in 1975 fulfilling her passion of caring for those in need, working at Stamford Hospital, St. Camilla's, and Liberation House. It was with a grateful heart and gratitude that Lisa returned to her alma mater, Stamford Catholic High School/ Trinity Catholic to continue as a school nurse for the last 20 years of her career. She enjoyed nothing more than giving back to those who supported her, her family and her community. Lisa was known for her compassion and love for each and every child under her care at Trinity Catholic.
Together for 44 years, Lisa met her devoted and loving husband, Stephen J. Brown, at a Belltown Fire Department function. They became partners in love, in life and in business. There was always heartfelt love and laughter when Lisa was with her friends and family as she was happiest when all were gathered together. Her greatest joy was her son Stephen J. Brown, Jr., the bright light of her world. Blessed with a devoted daughter-in-law, two precious granddaughters, Lisa lived each and every day committed to being their "Grandma".
Lisa was an extraordinary person, ferocious and loyal friend and the limits to her kindness knew no boundaries. For all of us who were so fortunate to know and love Lisa, we will never forget her beautiful smile, infectious giggle and fierce protection for those she loved. Lisa leaves behind her devoted husband, Stephen, her loving son Stephen Jr., his wife Michelle Zinsser, her granddaughters, Mia and McKenzie, and her sister Vita Ienner, as well as countless cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 3rd at The Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. The interment will be private.
