She is preceded in death by her six siblings.
She worked diligently in the health care field to achieve her life long wish to become a registered nurse, graduating after four years of training at Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. While receiving her training in the psychiatric area at Our Lady of Peace she met her husband of 65 years, Dudley. She was the President of the Historic Middletown Inc. and was the director of the Historic Middletown Museum. Nancy was also a commissioner of the Historic Preservation Commission as well as a member of the Middletown Women's Club.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Alfred Dudley Wetherby, sons, Alden Wetherby (Lillian), Kevin Wetherby (Bridgette), two granddaughters, Cassandra and Kimberly and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law and caregiver, Penny Wetherby.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Graveside services will follow visitation at Middletown Historical Cemetery in Middletown, Kentucky.
