Macil A. Hefferan, 103, of Tyrone, PA, died on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the home of her daughter & son-in-law, Patty & Dick Gamberg of Redwood City, CA.

Born on May 29, 1920, in Philippi, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin & Roxanna Mae (Zirkle) Andrick. She married James P. Hefferan, Jr. on August 5, 1939 in Bridgeport, WV; he preceded her in death on August 3, 2002.

Macil was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, John Brunson and Jim Brunson; and by a son-in-law, Tommy Duke.

Macil is survived by three daughters, Betty M. Brunson & her husband Larry of North Huntingdon, PA, Patty L. Gamberg & her husband Dick of Redwood City, CA, and Judy L. Duke of Suffolk, VA; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, PA. Rev. Father Johnathan Schmolt will officiate. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.

Visitation will be Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
