Maria Cacciatore Piccolo, 37, of 20 Whaling Drive, died at 12:40 am today at Uncas on Thames Hospital after a long illness. She was employed in the housekeeping department at Lawrence and Memorial Hospitals for many years last working in May 1981. Mrs. Piccolo was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Born in Castrofilippo, Italy, Oct. 7, 1944, she was the daughter of Rosa Messina Cacciatore of New London and the late Rosario Cacciatore. She came to the United States and New London in 1965 and moved to Waterford five years ago. She was married May 24, 1969, in New London. Besides her husband and mother, survivors* include three daughters, all at home; three brothers, and four sisters. The funeral will be at 10:25 am Tuesday from the Impellitteri-Bridges Memorial Home, New London, to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 at St Joseph's Church. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday.
