My Great-Grandpa.

Son of Eli (b 1829 OH) & Nancy E Watt (b 1838 IL). Her maiden name and their death dates and places are unknown. The 1860 census have them living in Greenville, Bond Co., IL. By the 1870 census his parents and sister are missing; Levi is living in Greene Co., IL with the Abram Geary family (relationship, if any, is unknown).

The census for 1880 McPherson Co., KS, has Franklin boarding and working on farm with W. J. (age 31 b IL) & Olivia J. (age 27 b IL) Kuitt family. No relationship given.

On November 25, 1880 Levi Franklin Watt married Alice Amerilla Hawkins. Her father was a Baptist Minister in Lincoln, Dickinson Co., KS and probably married them. They stayed in Kansas long enough for two of their children to be born; Lula Eveline and Harry Ambrose.

By July 1885 they were in Logan Co., CO (Sterling) where Leo was born and by Dec 1888 they were in Atwood when Frances Eliza came along.

In the 1900 census for Norwood, San Miguel Co., CO they had been married for 19 years, 8 children, 5 living; added to the above is Moses Leroy, Joseph Albert, and Luther Franklin; they also buried one not named baby on the plains. In 1901 a baby boy, Walter Allen completes the family. The 1910 census shows 9 children, 6 living.

After Grandpa Levi died, Grandma remarried to Wilmer O'Dello Stoddard. I have been unable to find her grave.

As far as Grandma Sage ever told me, her parents were always farmers.

Many thanks for stone photo, Luie, who first listed and graciously transferred memorial.
