Memorial Service for Mabel Elizabeth "Tumlinson" Saxon will be held 4:00 PM Friday October 20, 2023 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bruce McGee officiating. Visitation will be Friday October 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Mabel was born December 20, 1939, in El Campo, Texas to the union of her parents, John Tumlinson and Lillie Doolittle Tumlinson and passed from this life October 16, 2023 at her residence in Clarks, LA after a brief illness.

Mabel was set in her ways but loved her family and the time spent with them. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing pokeno, and hosting bingo gatherings in her home. Mabel coached Dixie Girls softball, played women's softball with her sister Gloria, and was on a Bowling league in West Monroe. She always worked hard at whatever she was doing. She was known to us as Sergeant Saxon and she will be missed tremendously.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; two brothers; and her great-grandson, Tyler Worsham.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Terri Crawford (Joe), David Saxon (Lisa), John Saxon (Judith), and Sandra Ainsworth (Billy Joe); grandchildren: Shelby Perkins (Brit), Cullen Crawford (Jessica), Jennifer Steel (Kevin), Jessica Graham (Dirk), Joshua Saxon (Britni), Jake Saxon (Jennifer), Caitlin Chavanne, Connor Saxon, Justin Saxon, Dustin Saxon, and nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
