Final tribute to D. J. Snow, 84 years old Yuma Valley rancher, who died Saturday, was paid at funeral service held yesterday afternoon in the Johnson chapel.
The Rev. Taylor, pastor of the Gadsden Baptist church, who officiated, declared deceased was born in Milton, Vermont, Oct. 14 1854 and married Miss Lillie Holt, May 1, 1873 at St. Albano, Vt. Four children of that marriage survive, as follows: Roy Snow, Mrs. Alice Journigan, Mrs. Grace Tays and Don Snow. He came to Yuma Valley in 1900 after 14 years spent in Nebraska.
Mr. Snow first wife died Sep. 21 1908 and he remarried Dec. 14, 1913 at Yuma, being joined in Wedlock to Miss. Elizabeth Spears, By that Marriage are two surviving children, Mrs. Lillia Mason and Dudley Snow. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He joined the First Baptist Church about 1912.
