Among other positions she was the manager of various gas stations in the Amherst, Sackville, and Moncton area. For the last few years, she was the manager of the Amherst Theatre, formerly known as the Cineplex. Marlene mentored and modeled a strong work ethic in the many youth who began their work life in her capable hands.
