Elvira Velma (Fann) Hinkle of Hopewell, Missouri, was born on June 27, 1940, a daughter of the late Nolan Edward Fann and the late Edna Bernice (Wilkinson) Fann. Elvira passed on Saturday, October 7, 2023. She had the nickname of Barb since childhood. She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Hinkle on April 25, 1959, and they shared nearly sixty-five years together. Elvira was a charter member of Hopewell Church of God.
Elvira was a nurse and after she retired from nursing, she went to work at the Cornerstone Christian Academy where she served for many years.

Those who remain include her dear husband, Donald Hinkle; three children: Donna King (husband, David), Gary Hinkle, and Tammy Lawson (husband, Jeff); loving sister, Eileen Wade; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harold and Edna Hinkle, Wanda Hinkle, Billy Gensler, and Arlene Fann. Elvira also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Elvira was preceded in death by three children: David Eugene Hinkle, Tracy Denise Ames, and Cynthia Sherry Gale Anderson; four siblings: Violet Lillian Wade, Robert James Fann Sr., Nola Gale Breakfield, and Elmita Joyce Gensler.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 9 a.m. to the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., held in the DeClue Chapel. Interment and final prayers will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
