A funeral for former McMinnville and Sheridan resident Delvonne M. Berndt of Salem will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Chapel of the Gardens, Salem. Interment will follow.
Mrs. Berndt died of natural causes Sept. 18, 2002, in her home. She was 59.
She was born Feb. 14, 1943, in Portland the daughter of Delbert and Dorothy Maxine Watkins Hyde.
She lived in McMinnville from 1965 to 1972, then moved to Sheridan. She had lived in Salem since the early 1980s.
She married Rodger Berndt.
Mrs. Berndt had worked as an appraiser for Yamhill County for the past 12 years.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Dorothy Hyde Harris of McMinnville; two daughters, Lori Jesse of Keizer and Sherri Ripka of Toledo; two sons, Tyler Berndt of Salem and Ken Brock of Helena, Ala.; a brother, Dexter Hyde of Grand Ronde; two stepsons, Joe Berndt of Salem and Todd Berndt of Sandy; a stepdaughter, Jeannie North of Portland; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
