Born at Woodall Community, Cherokee Co., OK, the daughter of Andrew "Andy" Post and Parilee Steeley (both buried at Price Cem., Cherokee Co., OK).

She had the following siblings: (1) Eldee Post who married Rufus McKinney, (2) Opal Post who married Zeke Ryder, (3) Letha Post who married Ray M. Young, (4) Willie Mae Post who married John M. Hathcoat, (5) Mary Post who married Houston M. Stanley, (6) Annie Post (Carrie's twin) who married Lucian B. Teehee, (7) Gladys Marie Post who married Wilburn Richard "Dick" Huitt and Louie R. McLain, and (8) Billy Andrew Post who married Mary A. Storze and Mary Ann Bushman.

Carrie married on 23 Apr 1938, at Siloam Springs, AR, John Elmer (Johnny) Mahaney Sr. (buried at this cem.); they had 3 children: Carrie Ann Mahaney Kirk, Virginia "Sue" Mahaney Nichols, and John Elmer "Jay" Mahaney Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, daughter Carrie Ann Mahaney Kirk, and 7 sisters and their husbands.

She is survived by brother Billy Post; daughter: Sue Nichols, and John Elmer "Jay" Mahaney Jr & Lee Ann Cobell; and 12 grandchildren: Dayna Hefley, Mike McGregor, Greg McGregor, Jana Mahaney Philpott & husband J.R., Carrie McGregor Weir & husband Mark, Gary McGregor & wife Kim, Susan Vance & husband Mark, Johnny Ace Mahaney, Lisa Mahaney, Ronnie Marchant, Anita Marchant Dixon, and Kathy Marchant McDonald; and 4 great-grandchildren & 3 g-g-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Jared Philpott, Dickie Post, Gary McGregor, Mike McGregor, Mike Weir, and Jacob Daughtery. Honorary pallbearers are: Troy Matthews, Greg McGregor, Billy Post Jr, and Ronnie Marchant.

Carrie will be remembered for her sense of humor. She loved to cook big meals for her family especially on holidays. She loved to pay card games--Spades and Pitch. She had worked at her husband Johnny's gas station and later as a pie-cutter for Furr's Cafeteria in OK City, OK. She & her husband Johnny moved from OK City to Park Hill upon retirement in 1983.
