Mary was a 1948 graduate of Plains High School, Plains, KS. She received an Associates Degree from Fort Hays State University in 1950. Mary worked as a dental assistant for several dental offices in the Hutchinson area.
She was an artist and enjoyed painting and reading. Mary was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, KS.
On August 17, 1950, she married James 'Jim' Doyle Farley in Plains, KS. They shared over 50 years of marriage prior to his death on October 27, 2000.
Mary is survived by: her children, Michael (Pauline) Farley of Tampa, FL, Shelley Wood of Ardmore, OK, Terry (Maria) Farley of Terrebonne, OR, John (Camille) Farley of Hutchinson, KS, and David Farley of Overland Park, KS; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sons, Kevin Farley and Curt Farley; three sisters; and four brothers.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson, KS. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023, with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House or Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
