A.K.A. "Uncle Dave" or "Freddy Fender", 70, went on to join his late wife, Eleanor E. Allen, on September 28, 2023. Along with his wife, he is predeceased by his parents, LaVerne & Norma Allen, and brother Stanley Allen. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Harry) Swan; grandchildren, David, Derek, EmmaLeah, Nathaniel, Kami, and Cameron; siblings, Randall (Esther) Allen, Daniel (Ruthann) Allen, Laura (Robert) Gorman, Gordon (Diane) Allen, Bonnie Ailport, Kenneth Allen, his two close friends Don West & Bonnie along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great-nephews.

David enjoyed being a cook at many restaurants around Broome County, he also enjoyed singing karaoke with his friends, and listening and dancing to old-time Rock & Roll; he was known for his great dance moves in his younger years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home 483 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY. Interment will follow at Glen Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
