Arthur Emmett Henderson was born on October 16, 1913 in Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania to Emmett George Henderson and Ethel McMahan Henderson. He lived his entire life in Huntington, Wayne County, West Virginia. On November 19, 1937, Arthur married Nellie Hutchinson and they had three children, George Arthur (Pete), Nancy, and Linda. They lived on Hanley Road in Huntington before eventually settling into the Henderson family home at 4965 Sunset Drive. Arthur was a shoe manufacturer by trade. He had a mischievous side that kept everyone around him laughing all the time. He died on September 10, 1991 in Huntington.
