William Gilbert Burow, Jr., 77, of Friendsville, MD, died Monday, September 25, 2023, at his residence.
Born July 5, 1946, in Confluence, PA, he was the son of the late William Gilbert and Reta Grace (Thomas) Burow, Sr.. Mr. Burow was also preceded in death by one sister, Sandy McClintock.
Mr. Burow worked in road construction and was a U.S. Army/Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Accident Post 208, American Legion, Deer Park Post 10077, V.F.W., Laborer's Union #1058 and the Blooming Rose United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Connie J. (Friend) Burow; one son, William Scott (Kelly) Burow, Friendsville; one daughter, Stefanie (Mike) Pritt, Oakland, MD; one brother, Ray (Brenda) Burow, Confluence; one sister, Patsy Jackson, Frostburg, MD; special nephew, Gary Gribble; four grandchildren, Brandon (Melinda) Pritt, Dakota (Chelsie) Pritt, Hunter (Kaitlyn) Burow, all of Oakland; Alexis (Denver) Glotfelty, McHenry, MD; five great-grandchildren, Rae, McKinley, Maci, Sofia and Belle Pritt.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Blooming Rose United Methodist Church on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.a with Pastor Walt Walters officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Military rites will be accorded by Accident Post 208, American Legion.
