Reta G. Burow, 76, of Listonburg died June 30, 2002 at her home. She was born Sept. 20, 1925 in Markleysburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Hannah (Tallentire) Thomas.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years William G. Burow; sons, William G. Burow Jr. and wife Connie of Friendsville Md.; Ray Burow and wife Brenda of Confluence; daughters, Sandra McClintock and husband Gary "Jake" Grantsville, Md. and Patsy Jackson of Frostburg, Md.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Leana Burow of Glen Burnie, Md.; Peggie Mackey, Boiling Spring; Delores Perry, Bluemont, Va.; Kathleen Koontz, Mesa, Ariz.; brothers, Harold Thomas, Natchitoches, La. and Thomas Thomas, Gardners; stepsister Mable Suder, Dillsburg, and stepbrothers, James Hoover, Cumberland, Md.; Roger Hoover, Addison, and Jack Hoover, Houston, Texas.

She was a life member of Listonburg United Methodist Church and served as a communion steward for many years. Formerly employed at Westinghouse Air Brakes of Wilmerding, and Berkowitz Sewing Factory in Confluence.

Family will receive friends Tuesday in the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Dane Cramer and Rev. David Lee officiating. Interment in Addison Cemetery.
