Dorothy Brewer Sallie of Lee City, Kentucky, widow of the late Talmage Clyde Sallie, departed this life Friday, September 22, 2023 at the age of 75 years. She was a daughter of the late Robert Brewer and Ruby Hollon Brewer born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on April 10, 1948. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was also a mother and grandmother to many others. She is survived by four sons, Talmage Eugene Sallie (Jennifer), Robert Sallie (Pam), Mike Elmore (JoAnne) all of Lee City, Kentucky and Gerald Sallie (Sallie) of Bethany, Kentucky; two daughters, Gail Sallie (Jeff) of Lee City, Kentucky and Brandy Spencer (Jeremy) of Hazard, Kentucky; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Brewer (Brenda) of Vancleve, Kentucky, Porter Ray Brewer and Stevie Brewer both of Jackson, Kentucky and James Brewer (Brenda) of Franklin, Ohio; and two sisters, Pauline Pelfrey and Barbara Messer (Gary) both of Jackson, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage Clyde Sallie; her parents, Robert Brewer and Ruby Hollon Brewer; two brothers, Roy Lee Brewer and Inus Brewer; and one sister, Linda Gross. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Serving as pallbearers; family and friends.
