May 23, 1928 - April 25, 2023 Beverly May Cantonwine was born in Los Angeles on May 23, 1928. The youngest child and only daughter of Stancil Jones and Serafina (Sadie) Baffa, she enjoyed growing up in L.A. during its heyday riding streetcars to school, working at the Sears candy counter, and living it up with her many lifelong friends. In 1963, Bev moved to Huntington Beach with her husband, Gordan, and their five children. Together, they raised their family, ran successful small businesses, traveled the world, and enjoyed 53 years of married life. Beverly cherished her home. She loved to decorate especially for Christmas. She devoted hours every day to her yard and gardens, and every family gathering and holiday was held around her table. Her wish to die peacefully at her beloved home was fulfilled on April 25, 2023. Beverly is survived by her children: Chris Carter, Linda Henry, John Cantonwine, and Tom and Jill Cantonwine; grandchildren Ricky Barnes, Chloe Tyler, Michael and Ryan Henry, and Jordan, Tanner, Griffin, and Caitlin Cantonwine, and great-grandchildren Topper, Reid, and Marlow Barnes, Beau Winchester, and Brooklyn and Roxanne Tyler. She is preceded in death by her husband Gordan, her daughter Joy, her grandson Chad, and her son-in-law Dave.
