Donald L. Terry, 89, formerly of Pana passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 in McDonough, GA. He was born July 14, 1934 in rural Tower Hill, son of the late Morris & Stevanna (Bland) Terry. He married Margaret Karbach on February 27, 1960 and she survives.
Donald was a graduate of Pana High School and Indiana Institute of Technology. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years in Texas, Missouri & Guam, Marianas Islands. Donald retired and had worked as an Engineer for the Illinois Capital Development Board for 34 years. He was a registered Engineer in Illinois, Georgia & Florida. He was a long-time member of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers.
Donald is also survived by his children: Lisa (Richard) Lippert, Elon, NC and Valerie (Alec) Mathis, McDonough, GA and 4 grandchildren: Eric & Kaitlyn Lippert and Ansley & Kayla Mathis.
Funeral services for Donald will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Mathis officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana with military rites by Pana Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
