Nay Allen, 79, of Gainesville, MO went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2023.



He was born June 28, 1944 to Albert and Clora (Sanders) Allen in Springfield, MO. On April 24, 1965 he married Jean (Brawley) Allen at Brushy Knob Church and they had one daughter, Lana (Allen) Dean.



Nay was a 1962 graduate of Gainesville High school. He was a carpenter and built many houses in Ozark County and the surrounding areas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always quick to offer assistance to anyone in need.



Nay was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and his two sisters Opal Fay Luna and Ola Ray Stewart.



He is survived by his daughter Lana Dean and husband Bret Dean of White Hall, AR; four grandchildren: Jordan Moudy (and husband Tyler), Heather Jennings, Rhett Dean, and Anna Grace Dean; and five great-grandchildren: Zibby Moudy, Isaac Moudy, Huxton Jennings, Jett Dean, and Jax Dean.



Funeral services for Nay will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Dale Roberts will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery.
